SHAKE IT, MORENA!
and other folklore from Puerto Rico

Carmen T. Bernier-Grand
Illustrated by Lulu Delacre

A potpourri of games, songs, rhymes and stories, all from Puerto Rico. The book follows a little girl through her day, from awakening in the morning to school to play time, through dinner and homework, and then off to bed. Each phase of the day involves a different song or game or story springing from the local culture. Lulu Delacre’s vibrant illustrations pull you right into the scene and make you feel like you’re part of the island’s life.
