I do appreciate your discussion of neo-Darwinism, and your report on investigations of how bacteria evolve. The problem is too serious for scientists to be so unscientific. I find it almost unbelievable that scientists, who must have studied biology, consider that they can work toward preconceived ends. It's a sad comment on the efficacy of higher education. The fact that this kind of thinking seeps into the culture of this nation is deplorable.
