Thank you for your very excellent article on the mentality of scarcity. It certainly clarified my thinking on one of the most significant issues of our time. That cheap oil protects a variety of inferior technologies that then distort the market just enough to raise the threshold of change, is most insightful.
And yet, in the same issue, there's a piece about all human life being made in the image of divinity and a letter that refers to god's commandment and goes on to supply quotes from one of the 20 or so different versions of the "true" bible.
Such a jarring juxtaposition of sense with nonsense caused me to write the enclosed - Would You Believe It? If people would only stop fighting for what they believe and instead offer evidence for what they think, our species might finally begin to evolve.
