Please note: Your submission will be to the repository, and not to the book in progress. Your information will be included in the future revision of the book.

Guidelines on what information should and should not be included
If you wish to submit your family's line to the repository, for publication in a future edition of the book, please include as much as you can of the following:
  • Full name of descendant who connects with the original genealogy, with as much data as you can provide, i.e., spouse, children, parents, as well as dates and places of events.
  • If possible, dates and places (including county, if known) of birth, marriage, and death. Also include dates and places of baptism and burial, if you can, including the cemetery name, if known.
  • Other typical information would include educational institutions beyond high school, military background, occupation, and religious affiliation.
  • Short bios are accepted.
  • Documentation should be provided, in full, if you have it. This should include the author's full name, title of book or other publication, title of article within a publication, publishing house, city, and year, and page number(s).
  • Adopted children's lines are included in the book. If you receive permission from the adoptee or his or her parents, please mention the adoption.
  • No judgment is made on what constitutes a couple or a family: same sex partners are included (with their permission or, if deceased, that of their descendants), as are unmarried couples of the opposite sex.
  • Children of an unmarried mother (no father mentioned) are included.
Please do not include:
  • Personal or reported criticisms of individuals, unless the information is relevant and the information is 75 or more years old.
  • Deaths by suicide, unless family permission is obtained.
  • Prison or mental health backgrounds on individuals, unless the information is relevant and the information is 75 or more years old.

Permission to print
We strongly recommend that you gain permission to print from any family members on whom you are submitting information. We are unable to gain such permission from those who submitted their information years ago and have since died, but ask for a permission to print (by e-mail is fine) from present-day submitters.
Note that some submitters choose to include names and dates on those who are still living. Others choose to stop their lines with the last people in their lines who have died. The vast majority submit complete information on living individuals.

Confidentiality issues
  • See the sections above, on what information not to include, and on permission to print.
  • Our mailing and e-mail lists will not be shared, sold, or published on the Internet.
  • It is not our intent to publish the book on CD or on the Internet. After the publisher has the manuscript, however, that could change with future publishing trends.
Submitting photographs
  • Photographs are accepted for our archives and repository. If sent by e-mail, please keep the files small and send them in .jpg format, if possible. If mailed, they cannot be returned. Good scanned copies are accepted by mail. Please carefully identify the individuals in the pictures.
  • Photographs should be of WWII vintage or earlier. Portraits or good snapshots are preferred. Unless very special or the only photograph available of an individual, photos of children are discouraged. Typical photographs should be of wedding couples, military men in uniform, parents with their grown children, pictures of several generations, group photographs if the pictures are clear enough for the people to be identified. Good pictures of homes, homesteads, or businesses are accepted, as well.
