Hart's Cove Hike

The Hart's Cove Hike started in some old growth forest with 250-year-old Sitka spruces. As sea lions could be heard (but not seen due to mist), the hike came to a large meadow. Going down the meadow led to cliffs along Hart's Cove. However, there was a dense fog over the ocean. After eating lunch, the sky cleared quite a bit for about 15-20 minutes. The pictures on this page were taken during this short time of somewhat clear vistas of the Cove below; however, there is still a misty feel to all the pictures. Sea lions could be seen swimming below in the waters.
