Eagle Creek Hike

Eagle Creek is located in the Columbia Gorge Scenic Area at I-84 exit 41. This hike takes you along high cliffs that surround Eagle Creek, over bridges that cross the creek, and to a waterfall at the end of the trail. The creek is always at your side.

The pictures below are from a May 1998 hike to "High Bridge", a bridge 3.3 miles into the trail. It is a full 6 miles to the "Tunnel Falls" waterfall at the end of the trail. Tunnel Falls is called so because of a manmade tunnel cut behind the waterfall so you can cross behind it. Eagle Creek's trail is a straight line, so a 3.3 mile hike to High Bridge involves a 6.6 mile round trip hike.

small waterfalls feeding it.

Steep cliffs over Eagle Creek lined the trail.
